Job Description
Conduct research to develop methodologies, instrumentation and
procedures for medical application, analyzing data and presenting
findings; Plan and direct studies to develop medical diagnostic kits;
Follow strict safety procedures when handling toxic materials to
avoid contamination; Evaluate effects of drugs, gases, pesticides,
parasites, and microorganisms at various levels; Prepare and
analyze laboratory data; Standardize medical diagnostic kits for HIV,
malaria and other diseases.
Investigate cause, progress, life cycle, or mode of transmission of
diseases or parasites; Study animal and human health and
physiological processes; Develop cardiac and HIV diagnostic kits;
Oversee work of other scientists.
Work Hours
35 hours/week
Requirements
PhD in Biology, Biochemistry or related, plus 1 year of experience
as Laboratory Coordinator required.
Rate of Pay
$84,775.60 per year.
